Construction Boom

The first thing that strikes you upon arriving in Abu Dhabi is the sheer number of large cranes scattered throughout the city, amidst an unprecedented construction boom. From 2025 onwards, owing to the nation's wealth, plans for luxury residences are coming thick and fast. Abu Dhabi's property development is being carried out systematically under government supervision. Currently, supply cannot keep pace with demand; properties sell out immediately upon release. Unlike in Japan, there are no lotteries – it's first come, first served. The reality is that securing a decent property is quite challenging. While serving as a well-organised capital city, Abu Dhabi differs from Dubai, which is already established as a major metropolis. Abu Dhabi now stands at the threshold of forming a new city using cutting-edge technology, alongside its own rapid economic growth.
